MEET THE FOUNDERS

Carlo Tonda
Co-Founder and CEO
Carlo Tonda is an award-winning Los Angeles-based filmmaker, originally from Guatemala. He has worked with numerous global brands, production companies and artists, including Netflix, HBO, Paramount Pictures, E! News, Coca-Cola, Facebook, Oculus Rift, Resident Evil, Snapchat and Lady Gaga. His credits span countless commercials, documentaries, music videos, short films, feature films and TV shows.
He has worked repeatedly with Goya winner (Spanish Academy Award) cinematographer Raquel Gallego (Black Widow, Iron Man 2), Emmy nominated director of photography Sion Michel (Memoirs of a Geisha, Collateral, Green Lantern), cinematographer Lisa Rinzler (Academy Award winning short Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone, If You're a Girl) and Emmy winners Greg Whiteley, Jonathan Nicholas and Chelsea Yarnell (Netflix's Last Chance U, Netflix's Cheer).
As a cinematographer, he’s best known for the film Aguanta, which won the award for Best Feature Film at the 2021 Marina Del Rey Film Festival, and was selected to screen at BraveMaker Film Fest, Sacramento International Film Festival and Youth Chicago Film Festival, among others. He also shot Bloom, a short starring Mexican star Sebastian Dante (Netflix's El Rey: Vicente Fernandez, Netflix's Who's a Good Boy). His accollades include the 2023 Silver Telly for his work in the commercial The Gift of Time for Hospital Non-Profit Adventist Health.

Alice Fang is the co-founder of Verita and a creative director with a background rooted in architecture, storytelling, and cultural advocacy. She began her career in Los Angeles as an architect at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), contributing to large-scale, high-profile projects within a firm known for iconic works such as the Burj Khalifa, One World Trade Center, and Willis Tower.
She holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP, where she was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi Medal and the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize. Alice earned her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and spent a year studying in Barcelona at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (ETSAV).
Chinese-Brazilian and previously based in Los Angeles, Alice’s cross-cultural upbringing informs her cinematic sensibility and commitment to representation. Her work extends beyond design into activism and community-building through organizations including NOMA, Women’s Initiative, Arquitectos, and Asian Alliance. She is also the founder and previous editor of Patio Magazine, a platform exploring Latin American space, culture, and narratives.
